Acts 8:39 KJV
And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
In the Book of Isaiah chapter 11:2, the Spirit of God through the prophet Isaiah highlighted the seven spirits of God, beginning with the spirit of the LORD or Dominion. When he takes over a man’s life, he brings boldness and enables him to act fearlessly.
As seen in our opening scripture, he is the one who caught Philip away and transported him to a different location over fifteen miles away.
Ezekiel 3:12,14 KJV
[12] Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.
[14] So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.
The above scenario is another manifestation of the spirit of the LORD, whom prophet Ezekiel said lifted and took him away.
The spirit of the LORD helps us to accomplish humanly impossible things.
Micah 3:8 KJV
But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
Prophet Micah said that he is filled with power by the spirit of the LORD to declare to the children of Israel their sins.
When you are confronted with a situation that seems terrifying, make a demand on him because he is at your disposal as a joint heir with Christ.
The spirit of the LORD empowers us to preach the gospel of Christ and confront and discomfit spirits of darkness.
Whenever thoughts of fear rise in your mind for whatever reason, don’t stay quiet, speak out boldly, declaring, “By the spirit of the LORD, I evict from my atmosphere, the force that is projecting fear to my soul”, and immediately, territorial princes of light will cut off the originator of such transaction.
The Spirit of the LORD is different from an angel, which is a messenger of God, but he ministers to and for us like an angel because he is our inheritance from God. He can minister to us from within as he did to our LORD Jesus Christ when they came to arrest him, and he confronted the people, asking them whom they seek, and they answered Jesus, and when he replied, “I am he,” they went backward and fell to the ground. That was the dominating force of the spirit of the LORD. He can also minister to us like he did to Philip in Acts 8:39, taking him physically away to a different location, all we need do is daily affirming that we are filled and overwhelmed with his glorious presence.
Glory to God!
Prayer
Thank you, heavenly Father, for bestowing on my innermost man the fullness of your Spirit who empowers me to achieve humanly impossible feats through the infilling of my soul with the spirit of Dominion in Jesus name, Amen!
