EVERLASTING LIFE INHIBITS DEATH! PT 2!
John 3:16 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Apostle Paul by the Spirit made a profound statement about the overthrow of death, and the consciousness of eternal life and everlasting life as seen here,
2 Timothy 1:10 KJV
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
In the Book of Romans 5:14, Apostle Paul, by the Spirit, said that death reigned or ruled as a king from the fall of Adam to the time that Moses presented the law to the children of Israel. This means that the law that had a glory that was passing away was greater than death, and so, it impeded the influence of death over the people as long as they adhered to it.
Death, just like sin functioned with, Adamic authority but the LORD defeated him in Sheol and brought his reign to an end, this is the meaning of the phrase in 2 Timothy 1:10, “hath abolished death”, he then brought immortality or everlasting life to the open through the good news that death is no longer enthroned as king over men and other creation.
Hebrews 2:14-15 NIV
14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
Before the overthrow of death, he exerted forceful dominion over man, not because he was greater than him in authority but because he and sin brought man into subjection due to his willful disobedience and submission.
Presently, the fear of death, which was the authority of Adam, has been dissolved; Christ, which refers to the LORD Jesus, and his body (the church) are in office as the ruler over the world. This is the reason, this dispensation, which begins from the resurrection of Christ and elapses at the rapture of the church, is called “the church age” or the era in which the church should rule as a king over the earth and its fullness.
Our opening scripture sums up what the LORD God in Christ accomplished for humanity by his sovereign statement which says that whoever believes in his vicarious death and triumphant resurrection should not be destroyed by death through sicknesses, diseases, infirmities, and works of oppression.
We are authorized as the body of him who is head over principalities and powers, to thwart all transactions and projection of the spirit of destruction and death because we are presently in office as rulers over the earth and its fullness. Hallelujah!
Declaration
I declare that as a king enthroned together with the LORD Jesus at the seat of highest authority in the spirit world
I rule over the defeated devil at the cross of Calvary, the spirit of death, and his cohorts at Sheol.
Therefore, all advances of these defeated foes against me, and all that patterns to me are thwarted by horses and chariots of fire in Jesus name, Amen!
